Hi mate, it costs nothing, nada, zilch. It's a free service provided to South Australians, funded by councils and state government.

    It's of interest to:

    - people on a budget

    - people living in SA (or visiting) from other countries (like expat Brits)

    - people in regional/remote areas who cannot easily access local papers

Not meant to be spam, just passing on a great resource.

I have to say I think the library service here in SA is absolutely fantastic! Couldn't beleive it when I first got here and found it was free to borrow CDs, videos and DVDs - used to have to pay in the UK and often with fines etc I may as well have bought the thing!

The ordering system is great too - I order online through the library website at home, then they send me an SMS when the item is in.

Our local library also has a toy lending section too I think. And lots of activities for kids of all ages throughout the year, especially during holidays.

The newspaper thing is great too, thanks for letting us know about it, Bronte.
