Car Hire in UK

Thinking of hiring a car in the UK next month for around 2 weeks, starting either at Heathrow or Colchester, returning to same, anyone got any ideas, Done a Google for the independants and big boys in both areas.

story so far, deffo out of and return to heathrow, but get this, went to hertz uk site, same car, same dates etc etc, using RAA code is cheaper on the UK site by 80 quid than the Australian Hertz site ????? I booked it on the UK site, but then rang the Aus site to confirm and got, you can't do that and they cancelled the booking??

Enterprise at Heathrow are very good (and cheap).

 

Also worth remebering that some travel insurance policies include top up car insurance, so this means you can avoid paying the hugely overpriced CDW wavier the car hire company try to sell you. I belive that Budget direct travel and 1 cover direct include it in their policies.

Some credit cards also give the option of this insurance

ended up getting a great deal through these people, who use Enterprise.
