Singapore stopover

We fly out in september and are having a two night stopover in Singapore.

The question is i'm sure some people have done this and used the local taxis there. There will be 4 adults, one 7yr old and one 3year old. Is it easy to get a taxi with a child seat for the youngster or dont they bother in Singapore, or should we arrange transfers from the UK to be safe?

Any info will be gratefully appreciated.

we stayed over in singapore, in shangi village, the place we stayed in provided a mini bus to and from the airport, we didnt know this until we tried to book a taxi , they told us no no you have transport, but they do have lots of taxi's available as well, hope this helps

Never found any taxis with seats for the little ones, was a case of hold on tight!

 

There is always the MRT too that runs from the terminals to the city, not sure how near a stop your hotel would be though

We stayed in the centre of Singapore for 2 nights also and was really easy to get around by Taxi. We went to the Zoo in a taxi lol.

My 2 were still really small and had no problems, they don't seem to bother with car seats at all.

 

It is really humid in Singapore plenty of water and rest, was so glad we stopped for a few days as being on a plane for so long with little kids is really hatrd!

Are you flying with Singapore Airlines?

If so you go to the pick up point in the airport and they sort out the taxi for you.

Its a little daunting at first but it is very simple to be honest.
