    on saturday we called in to the casino in the city ,first time at this one couldnt believe how many golden oldies were there,feeding the slot machines

    we knew gambling was big over here but not to that extent

    we had a go at the tables and lost a bit but gained at bit back and called it a day

    the cafe was very cheep and cheerfull well worth a look to see how the other

    half live:o

    It's an interesting place but with some sad scenes.

     

    I hate to see all the slot machines (called Pokies) taking all the oldie's money.

     

    We go quite a few times in the year, just for the fun of it.Quite a bunch of us go now.

    Did you hear the live band upstairs? They are very good:notworthy:

    yes a very interesting place couldnt spend 100 dollars on the turn of a card though loads were doing it ,didnt see the band think we might have been too early ,wanted to leave whilst we had

    still cash to spend

    The one that gets me is everyone standing in a circle betting on the outcome of the toss of two coins - think it's called something challenging like "Two Up"! I bet if it rains, they'd have organised betting on the raindrops running down the windows too!!!

     

    Remember being in the City one Saturday night after a theatre show and wondering where everyone was...went into the casino and found them! No wonder gambling is such a big problem here in Australia....
