what is it? never heard of it

    Its like Bunnings but online....

By this i mean you can order online ANYTHING that they sell at Bunnings.

Just a quick note is Screwfix not owned by B&Q?

It seems very strange that they are starting trading over here or is there a bigger plan do you think?

Appears to be natural progression as more and more people do their own work and the internet becomes a better source of info.

I don't know if B&Q own screfix, but its probably under the same umbrella.

    Sorry guys :

    Dear Mr

    Thank you for your email.

I can confirm that Screwfix Direct is in no way connected with the Australian company Wood screws : Stainless screws : ScrewFixDirect.com.au

Thank you for taking the time and trouble to contact us.

    Kind regards

Sorry for getting people's hopes up........

I guess we'll have to put up with Bunnings higher prices and reduced quality.

Read higher up. It seems it was never them coming.

No surprise to me. Australians haven't really discovered the internet yet, and also they're not that big on encouraging competition in business either (hence no Amazon, and only recently Aldi, etc) so I wouldn't expect to see Screwfix here any time soon. You can go to Getscrewedfix though, which trades in Australia as Bunnings.
