Played Willingdon many times....my favorite Eastbourne course.Played in that interclub thing there a few times, the 36 hole one on a Sunday, Foursomes and singles.

Beauport bad enough on cool day, let alone a hot one. Good though to find another golfer though. You play much yet out there??

Only played twice , Marion............crap, wouldnt bother again, and Belair ........nice scenery, tree lined mainly, greens good but a bit short. Played well there...........35 front nine( much to my surprise), back nine 43......(more like I was expecting!).

last time I played that 1st at Willingdon........Breeze was into my face, I boomed a drive and still had to hit a 4 iron to get there!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yo dudes

Well last Saturdays round at the Old Vines proved I'm defo a 28'er, not that I paid much attention as I spent most of my time admiring the Rozalas and Gallahs (real ones not the ones on fire) and admiring the beautiful scenery and trying to spot Koalas in the trees, oh yeah and watching young Dale get an Eagle on a very long par 5, the best 2 golf shots I've seen in many a year.

Cant wait to try out some more of the wonderful courses here, my bats arrive a week Friday, unless they're washed up on a beach somewhere:confused: and Guzzler is dead keen to join the Gallahs and show me round some more, dont believe him when he says he's 28 too, he had a wonderful round and think he'll give Gra a run for his money when he arrives shortly. If anyone over there wants my number PM me and I'll gladly pass it on.

;)

Marks Handicapp, is er Nicht gud!! He doesn't need a driver at all so he can hit the bloody thing i'm hoping to pay for some more lessons for him for his birthday, it 'll be the only time he gets to play this yr so hopefully soon he'll have some more practice .........mine is 53526 and thats on the par 3:mad:

Good Aye ?!?!

Blake (9) and Ethan (4) play pretty bloody good tho!!!!!!! Livvy (2) has lil cut down clubs and holds the record for empty a bucket of balls at the driving range faster than anyone else!!!!! Albeit with in a 2 metre radius but at least she hits them!!! Which is more than i can say for me.

I played the back nine at Thaxted Park yesterday. Was impressed with the layout, a bit of everything really, some longer holes, some tight holes, dog legs. The greens were absolutely superb!.Miss the green on the wrong side , and your left with a rapid downhill chip!!!!!!!!!!!.

Wondering what the front nine is like now!, anyone played it ?.

My Hubbie Russ used to be a good golfer but he hasn't really played in 5 years so is very very rusty.

I know he would love to get together with some other guys for a round or two - please let me know when you are out next and if you need an extra player. I feel a bit guilty as I seem to do all the socialising whilst he is at work so it would be good to even the balance a bit.

Thanks guys:jiggy:

Donna

PS Happy to get tgether with the other golf widows for a glass or two:D

Hi everybody and fellow golfers, we will be out in Adelaide by 1st November but probably staying up at Murray Bridge. I would be interested in having some golfing practice with some of you younger chaps in Aus. I play off 24 incidentally. In the past when in Aus. I have usually played by myself, and fortunately won most of the games, but this time we are over on a much longer visit.

Well it seems like there is loads of people either there or on the way in the near future that like nothing better in taking long walks looking for little white balls! Or is the 19th afterwards??:jiggy:

Would love to keep in touch with you all and get you all involved in the Flaming Gallahs Golf Society. Be great to have loads of golf when we get there and the ladies can natter and drink loads of wine or whatever loads of women do when together:D

I for one am looking forwrad to playing loads when we get there and really pleased there seems to be an abundance of other mad souls who could be part of a golfing gang!!

Guest Guzzler&Sas

Hi,

A few courses I would recommend are Willunga in fantastic nick at the moment and one of the best municipal courses i have played and all for $19 a round, McCracken at Victor Harbour and Lady Bay at Normanville both serious courses not for the faint hearted, their carts are great, all fitted with GPS to help with your meterage, not that it matters in my case as most of my shots are still a fu***ng long way to the green;),

Graham if you fancy a game during your reccie give me a shout, I have a spare set of clubs, not that you'll be busy or anything:wideeyed:

Hi Guzzler, heard from Gra this morning and he said phone lines down in his neck of the woods. So not sure if he will get the hint! Anyway probably find its Jacs who has cut the lines to stop him getting any golf invites:jiggy:

Just a word of warning for any "rusty" golfers out there. I done the normal loosening up the shoulders and back type exercises when I played last on Friday...................never thought about loosening up my neck:arghh:. My first swing in the practice net, I strained a muscle in my neck:mad:.( I still played on though...........gingerly) I have never had to exercise my neck in 25 years of playing 1/2 times a week. Have spent the past few days struggling to turn my head!!!!!!!!!!!.

Ill be back though.
