Meeting new people

Heyy guys!

Arriving in Adelaide on November the 8th and hopefully staying in Mawson Lakes until parents have decided on a permanent area.

I'm a 16 year old girl, and looking to make friends with people around my age who have just moved to the area, have lived there for a while or moving out there soon like me!

Won't be going to school until end of January and worried my social life is going to be destroyed until then! So this is the only way I can think of to make/meet new friends when I get out there!

Any advice on places which are good to meet new people would also be appreciated (:

there is a few poms up that way whom i am sure will be very willing to meet up with you guys....being worried is all part and parcel of moving over here...you will be fine i am sure we brought 2 teenage kids over 2 1/2 years ago...they have got jobs and now work over in Melbourne..they too had same worries as you....

we're about 10mins from you, I also have a 16 yr old, who would be happy to show you around once you arrive.

 

My daughter has found it quite easy getting about, catches trains or buses into city or down to beach.

(and we're from South Wales too)

Hi Taryn, my daughter Chantelle is 16 and we are hopin to be out there by January, also have a older son who is 17, they too are worried about social life and meetin new friends etc, maybe we could keep in touch, she is on facebook, and hopefully meet up once we are all out there.
