As most migrants from the UK, don't have extended family to help with the kids in school hols, is there much available in terms of childcare, holiday clubs etc?

How does everyone manage?

Children of primary school age can be booked into vacation care at a primary school that has out of hours school care. OHSC . Most primary schools have at least afterschool care, but some also have before school care as part of the OHSC. If you have PR then you are entitled to government assistance towards the fees. For vacation care your child does not have to attend the school as long as there is a place.

Think my fees are $44 a day? But that gets reduced by child care benefit, which if you are on PR you may be entitled to, depending on income....
