176 Visa-Personal Documents queries...

Hi,

 

Just getting my paperwork together for our visa app, and notice it says the following on the checklist with regards to being married:

 

If you or any applicants are married, please provide certified copies of marriage certificate(s) and evidence you are in a genuine and continuing relationship.

 

 

 

Just wondering what people used as evidence for being in a genuine and continuing relationship?

Also, do we all need to have recent passport photos done if applying online and submitting paperwork online?

Final question!....Do all documents need to be certified if scanning them into pc then attaching to visa app?

would imagine joint accounts ,Mortgage,names on bills gas electric etc joint tennacy.

Hi

We're using an agent and they haven't asked for anything other than our marriage certificate? We do have two children tho (do you have children?) maybe this could be why?

I know our agent is uploading everything he scanned my stuff and then certified it himself ( he said he was able to do this?) but a friend of mine that went a couple of years ago said if you were uploading it all it didnt have to be certified, but i'm sure someone else will know more than me??

We used an agent and were only asked for marriage certificate! We also have 2 children as proof of genuine relationship

Thanks for replying. Yes we do have a child together, so thats proof enough im sure!! ;o) Yeah, I thought I'd read a post on here about not needing to have docs certified if you upload them yourself, but wanted to double check as we have now been SS approved!! Thanks again,

As long as your original documents are scanned in colour, they do not need to be certified. You will need up to date passport photos for all parties on the visa app. Ours was submitted in April and all documents were logged as and received and correct.
