school area

Hi all looking for some help on deciding area for schools

Whats a good state school for junior/senior, i guess property budget around $350,000ish

dont want to be a million miles from beach but can appreciate we cant afford to be that close?

All suggestions would be good

Have a look at Australianschoolsdirectory.com.au and myschool.edu.au. The first one will give you all the schools with basic information, then once you have a few to choose from the second gives you some idea as to how they compare to similar schools and other schools in the area specifically in terms of results

 

You'll need to narrow down the list based on the age of your children, public/private etc and then make contact - some are zoned and can't offer you a place till you have an address within the area, and some may not have places.

 

We didn't quite know where we would end up living and so got provisional places in half a dozen schools in different areas to cover all bases.

 

We looked at Henley Beach PS which apparently is good, and got a provisional place there, but it's zoned and we ended up living the other side of the city anyway:~

For 350K median price, near the beach you may need to try southern suburbs or western suburbs (especially if you want to be close to the beach). In Adelaide, however, most inner suburbs are only half an hour drive from the beach anyway . North Eastern suburbs such as Modbury North, Modbury, Ridgehaven, Greenwith, Golden Grove Wynn Vale are middle class suburbs which have the median price you are looking for.
