looking for cabin for validation trip

Just did a google search for a cabin or cottage for about one or two weeks hire, while we are comming to Adelaide to validate our visa's and do a reccie.

 

We would like to life in the Adelaide hills in the future but while looking for accomodation for this autumn (UK) we were a bit shocked with the prices. Does anybody have any suggestions for self catering accomodation for about two weeks in let say October for a family of 5 with childeren of the ages 6, 3 and nearly one.

Try Hanhdorf holiday resort its on the main street in the hills has on site swimming pools,bars ect and you will get a taste of the hills.

Thanks for that, I just had a look at the reviews and it is a bit of a mixed bag, are there any campings in the hills that rent out static caravans for the week?

Hi,we are family of 6 just returned from Caravan park in Mount Barker.Cabin was clean,not too exciting but staff lovely and very cheap to stay in.

Do you have any details about this caravan park, I looked on google and saw next to the freeway, is this the one that you refer to?

No it is in Mount Barker itself.Mount Barker Caravan Park.Paid $93 per night for 6 of us.Had mobile home 2sets of bunks and one king size bed.Small kitchen area and bathroom,but all we wanted was somewhere to sleep.We were out everyday exploring.
