Hi Guys, we are just waiting for that all important YES, had our medicals done 4 weeks ago, so should be any day soon (hopefully!!)

I am a swimming teacher in the UK and was wondering where swimming lessons take place in SA? Is it at leisure centres like here, independant outside swimming pools or private swimming pools at peoples houses? We are looking at Aldinga, Grange, Seaford Rise but will prob not decide for definite on area until we are out there and can look around and get a feel for places.

Cheers

Swimming lessons are available at most leisure centres and Stateswim complexes.

I teach occasionally at Seaford Stateswim, to become qualified you have to pass a WASI certificate which is an afternoon course, then complete several hours on the job training. They teach from waterbabies to squad level so a real variety of classes to teach. It is casual employment but the pay is reasonable and the hours are pretty good... When you arrive go and see Jenny at the pool and she will help you with getting qualified etc

Hope this helps
