The Birds here are certainly different!

Have you noticed that the Blackbirds here sing with a different twang from their UK counterparts?Not quite as quaint,but still beautiful.The Sparrows seem to chirp much the same as they do back home,but the Magpies look like black and white Rooks.Oh yeah,and the pigeons are really tufted Doves!

I love the parrotts full of colour squarking away as they fly around at break neck speed....never get bored of looking upto to see the multi coloured splendour fliying through the air...

Don't enjoy being woken by Kookaburras at 5.00 in the morning but love their song the rest of the time - See the odd koala too. Love being on the edge of the hills!

I thought the sparrows came over from the UK originally anyways.

 

I love the different birds in Aus. I loved seeing flocks of tufted doves/pigeons (or horny birds as I fondly call them) and the flocks of galahs. I oooed for ages taking pics of all the different birds.
