THings are..slightly more expensive but i don't think you can compare like for like in the uk. Your needs are less here...paradise is on your doorstep and one of the things you need to explore it is cheep.... gas (petrol)

What goes around comes around in the economy so once you are working the price increase becomes hard to distinguish...

petrol, apple computers, nerf guns, wine are cheaper here . come on ? what more to life is there ?

Seriously, it gets down to why you want to come here, and what your definitions of better life style is. Mine is been able to ride by the sea, stop for a swim, watch dolphins, walk in the amazing hills, better schools, and live in a country that is optimistic.

based on this its cheap as chips here...

Just a few web sites that you can check prices etc, there are always garage sales every weekend if you don't mind second hand furniture. It is harder now because the exchange rate is so bad and that makes everything more expensive.

Good luck with your adventure :)

So we are all agreed then -

For some its cheaper.

For some its more expensive.

For some its the same.

Somethings you pay for in OZ you dont in the UK.

Somethings you pay for in the UK you dont in OZ.

Some people will earn more.

Some people will earn less.

Aus has got expensive over the last few years.

The Uk has got expensive over the last few years.

All depends on where you move from.

And where you want to move to.

Some peoples cups are always half empty.

Some peoples cups are always half full.

Basically its going to be different for anyone.

And whats the point in converting anyway.

And if you dont do it you will never know.

Lol thebacons

I really shouldn't post on threads like this. I haven't lived in the UK for a fair while now and whilst I know what I have to pay here month by month, I really have very little idea of what you pay over there anymore. Which makes any comparison a bit one-sided perhaps:cute:

I wish everyone the best of luck in their move to South Australia, my home. I hope your reality surpasses your dreams.
