    Hi everyone ,

We got our visa's end of June and put the house and cars up for sale and nothing :(

Seems like our new life on hold,we are getting so fed up and depressed because we worked hard for the visas and was so happy and excited to get them, but now we cant get a buyer for the house and cars

We have reduced the house to the minimum of just clearing our debts and only £2k to spare just to get the he'll out and that's not even happening

Is anyone else in this boat?

Our house has been on the market since May with not one single viewer!! so we put it up for rent last month and had a load of people :jiggy:had to change mortguage but hey ho were able to get moving sorted!! We were dead set against renting initially but got our head around it now and feel its the right thing to do. were using the equity in the house to finance the move and planning still to sell in the next 2 yrs.

Fingers crossed you get something sorted.

hello, the rental market is so stronger than the selling of property, people just cant afford the deposits anymore, my house has been up for sale for a week and we have decided if it has not gone within 8 weeks we are renting out, we have been told we can get upto 700 a month, which is enough to cover mortgage and put money in the savings,it is something to think about, are flights are booked for 26th nov so we have a dead line, but at least we can get to oz, and also make abit, good luck and get yourself over to oz x michelle x

We were the same, got our visas mid Feb and put the house on the market end of march, 12 weeks later and only about 4 viewings we decided to look into renting as at least we would be in charge, were scared of selling house only to fall thru at the last minute etc, we move out next week and fly to Oz 6th October, as soon as we advertised for rental we had four viewings booked in 2 days-its definitely a rental market . Good luck with your situation.
