do we need to take our UK medical records with us for when we get any health care in Oz? If so, any advice on accessing these / required formats?

I'm not bothering. I went to see a GP in oz over Easter when I was there for a visit. Wasn't asked for any info other than self-reported.

Nope you don't. You'll fill out a medical history once you are there if need be.

Only time to get them is if you have some ongoing treatment/illness of a serious nature where Doc's the other end would need more detailed info.

Might be worth bringing vaccination records (for your own reference). You'll get asked by the travel doctor if ever you're going on holiday anywhere that needs vaccinations.

also if you have any recent dental x-rays (within the last year), probably worth bringing those, so you don't have to pay for new ones when you go to the dentist.
