Hi PIA, Can any tell me if it is ok to ship shop painted wicker furniture as I have heard conflicting advise. It is top end conservatory furniture that has never been used outside. Thanks Jane

I was under the impression that wicker wasn't allowed. All the regulations are here http://www.daff.gov.au/aqis/travel/entering-australia/moving-emigrating, however, you might find something to the contrary. I think the problem with wicker is that insects can get inside all the nooks and crannies. They will certainly inspect it if you bring it, and you run the risk of them not letting it in to the country or charging you several hundred dollars for inspection and fumigation costs.
