Hi, I am a staff nurse hopeing to move myself and my family (husband and three kids) out to Adelaide in March/April. We are hopefully going on a sponsored visa, as I have a job in a hospital in the centre of Adelaide. Havn,t yet been asked to get medicals done so not too sure how long the process will take? Think this web site is fantastic, I have managed to get so much information already.

    Hi

Great to know that another pom is on their way!

I am not sure about the sponsored visa but I think it is a few months - someone can give more info I am sure...

For us, once the meds/police checks were requested, we had a month for a bond request (we came on 136 and invested for last five points) and then 2 weeks after that we got the magic visa.

    Hi Wicker

Does this mean you're from Wick, Caithness and work in the CGH, by any chance and if so do you know Bruce in the Renal unit? Just curious.

    Greetings Wicker,

Tracey (my other 'arf) is also a staff nurse. We are going out on a indy/perm visa. She hopes to work at Flinders. We have done the meds and police checks before being asked to hopefully speed up the process.

    Hi wicker,

welcome to PIA, you are right though, this web site is fantastic, it's amazing all the little pieces of information that you pick up even without asking a question.

Good luck with your process and keep us posted on your progress too x

Yes, I am from Wick, and work in CGH. I do know Bruce but not very well.

We are hopeing to go out on a temporary long stay business visa (457), so hope this won't take too long.
