Hi,

Had phone call off Agent today and they have had the letter from VETASSESS!!! (emailed to them) - so I asked to see a copy (which you should always do, especially if its a negative!). Its pretty much the same as what they said the first time. I have no problems emailing you a copy if that helps.. there's nothing personal on there!!

Thanks a lot for your willing to help, I have sent you a private message with my email address.

Hope everything gets right for you as soon as possible.

Thanks again,

Mihaitza

Sorry, but that's how it is!

Jim

Yeh thanks for your input Jim, we get that! Thats what VETASSESS told our agent, hence the reason we are questioning it, and now we have the paperwork, we can look at it in more depth.

The saga continues.... Our agent phoned VETASESS thursday night for more info as they really didn't go into any detail on the letter and wanted to know what they would advise us to do. Paula (Vetassess) told Ian (agent) that we should re apply under Marketing specialst - which is what I wanted to do first time around!!! Grrr!!

However, Ian said that we couldn't do that first time as I had to have 1 yrs work experience post my masters degree, and that they wouldn't take a masters without a bechelors...... BUT.... now they're saying that since July 1st, they will accept masters alone, and also, they will take pre-work experience providing is at least 5 years and highly relevant! Have been in marketing for 9 years so fingers crossed, this time we'll get a positive!

So, this means that we now pay another $500 to re-apply under a different occupation, which will take another 6 months!! Going to go through the job description with a tooth comb to make sure we fill every requirement!

Hopefully, dream not over yet :0) x x x

Ok, then! Best of luck!

But what state will sponsor you for Marketing Specialist?

Ah Ha, this is the next thing.... I am looking for an up-to-date skills list for SA... do you have a website address?? Currently it's only on ACT but that could change as it'll be next year and the government seem to change all the time!!

Did you look at the email I sent you with the vetassess letter? x

Hi Cables

I've heard of this lady called Paula and in time I might remember her last name. I've definitely been told both names for her. She is the Vetassess Manager that all of the top-notch RMAs seem to talk to whenever there is a problem with a Vetassess skills assessment. She's not a junior numpty who relies on wild guesses instead of knowing what she is talking about, so Paula's involvement gives me great hope for you.

Which States currently have Marketing Specialist on their SMP, do you know?

Cheers

Gill

Hi again, Cables

Please try this link:

http://australia.gov.au/topics/immigration/state-migration-sites

That link is very fast and far less laborious than any other way of finding the information that you want.

Cheers

Hello all

You may have seen I started a new thread last week when I got my answer - but I see this saga is ongoing for poor Cables and thought I would update here also. My VETASSESS came back last Thursday as a positive, I had sent an urgency request around 4 weeks ago as I turn 33 at the end of this year and it seemed to do the trick as we got the answer last week which was actually within 12 weeks of us sending the original application.

I am feeling very lucky with this - especially having read through this thread - to me it sounds like your agent has done you no favours with not putting you forward for a marketing type post. It seems very unfair if you have to pay again and go through all the rigmarole for a second time, my fingers are crossed for you.

For us the next hurdle is the fact that the skill set I am going for is now showing as low availability on the SS list so our luck could still run out, but at least we do have the skills assessment under our belt now before we consider what to do next if we should not get SA SS.
