Remembrance Day...

    Recommended Posts

Being a huge believer in remembering those who have gone before, and those still serving......This is our first November 11 in Oz, and would like to know if poppies are on sale, and if so, where. Obviously, in UK, they are available for a little while beforehand. We will always remember privately of course, but would like to show outwardly too.....

I'm sure they are sold and worn over there.

As to where they are sold, I am sure you'd see them in shops and so on. If not perhaps check local library and places like that. And enquire there also.

Hopefully someone else can give you more info on more exact locations to buy them.

There are poppy sellers much the same as in the uk but not as many. There will be a remembrance Sunday at most monuments but to be honest it's not as huge as the dawn parades on ANZAC day which is when Australia celebrates their heroes on April 26th.
