Help!! Advice on getting Partner Visa

Hi Guys,

I Just moved to Adelaide a month ago on a 176 Visa & my GF has been in Melbourne for close to 2 years on a student Visa.

Her Occupation is no longer in demand & she will have to return back home.

We are thinking of getting married so she can stay on here in Aus & probably move into Adelaide with me, but can we actually do that since i have only been a permanent resident in Aus for such a short time.

Will only be starting permanent work next week... her student visa runs out in March 2012.

Desperate to have some feedback on this!!!!! :( :(

Have you looked through the immi.gov.au website for visas?

http://www.immi.gov.au/migrants/family/

Go through the options and see what comes up.

Hopefully someone will be along to offer some advice. Or check out the PIO forum where this sort of topic comes up far more frequently.

Perhaps contact an agent to discuss your situation so as to ensure you are doing all the right things.

Probably yes. Run your case past a registered migration agent.
