Employer sponsored visa Nursing

    Hi all

Not been on here for a while as we have been mulling over a few options.

My question is how do you go about getting an employer to sponsor you for the Employer sponsored visa. We were going to apply for a perminent visa but have decided a sponsored one might be quicker and have the added safety of a job before we come out there.

My wife is n registered nurse in the UK working in a local NHS Hospital.

Is there a website that advertises the sponsored jobs or is it a case of just sending a CV to the hospitals and see what response you get.

    Thanks, Clive

In a sentence 'DON'T DO IT'. If you can get a perminant get it. If you come out on a sponsored visa (except the 176) you will not qualify for benefits and find life more difficult. Also think about this. If your wife comes over sponsored by a certain hospital and then finds she hates her job then what????

We came out on a 175 visa and Tracey had a job to go to. She has had 5 jobs since in 3 years and is now settled at Flinders. By coming out on a perminant visa you won't have to go through all the hassle of getting your perminant one at a later date.

Apply to hospitals, emailing your wife's CV. Tracey had a telephone interview and started 2 weeks after we landed.

    Good luck.

Hi we have been looking into this for years and wanted to go the perminant route but as our age is against us my wife is 45 in july 2012 we thought the easyest and fastest route would be the sponsored route.

Nothing like leaving it to the last minute lol
