Hi we are arriving in march and I was hoping for some info on any good surf locations near to Adelaide

I've had a quick look on google and from what I can make of it most of the good breaks are right down south

I've seen glenelg and seaford do get a mention but is that more of a seasonal thing?

What are the traviling times from Adelaide to the south beaches?

Any info would be greatly recived

    Cheers Jason

I know when we were over last and went down Victor Harbor way, just down from there, Port Eliot, Middleton and so on had massive long beaches with loads of surfers out every opportunity. Its the ocean there, unlike Adelaide which is in the gulf.

That's about an hour or so from Adelaide, depending on whereabouts you are driving from. Defo struck me as better surf than in Adelaide, but then I only really know and have spent time around the beaches of Glenelg and nearby.

We live at Seaford, not a surfer at the moment but something I am planning on trying, don't know how good the surf is really however I can tell you there is always surfers out all times of the day at seaford unless the sea is at rest, from morning till late,

Like sniffer said, we were down Victor a while back and the waves were awesome,

    All the best
