Were are you now ,we are still in cumbria with the house unsold but we have sold our workshop ,so still hopefull for a move by the end of may ,

Good thread! Visa granted Sep 2011, house exchanged on 23rd Dec (& only just, nail biting stuff!). Shippers coming 25/26th Jan (we have been on endless runs to the tip!). We have another property which will be rented out after we leave and we'll live there in the interim...it's a 1 bed flat in what can be a quite noisy part of town, should be interesting with 2 little ones?!

 

Finish work 29th Feb, leave UK 20th March or thereabouts after various farewells. Arrive Australia end March (Melbourne) then get to Adelaide by 21st April. We are staying at Summerhill rentals in Reynella for 3 weeks while we look for a long term rental (& jobs!)...hope 3 weeks will be long to find suitable accommodation.

 

Good luck with the final part of your jigsaw, I hope your property sells soon, but sounds although you will be arrive not far behind us regardless?!

Just curious we are coming out for a reccie in March and staying in Port Noarlunga, hopefully moving out later this year. Notice your Ethan is 12, have you chosen a school for him yet and if so where has he gone as our son is 12 and daughter is 10.

Well, we have accepted an offer on our house and hoping to exchange within the next few weeks , fingers crossed !!!!

The plan is to move out at the end of the month , completion day will be then as we've already arranged this with the new buyers ,

stay with family for a couple of weeks , then start our new lives by the end of feb , yay

 

Can't wait , bring it on i'm soooo ready

Visa granted in Sept, handed in notice at work (teachers can only leave in Dec or April or August) left at the end of Dec, flights booked for mid-feb, booking removers on Monday, 38ish days to go and a mass panic at getting rid of everything sets in. Car boot tomorrow! lol

 

Will be flying to Perth to pick up a camper we are buying and to meet up with some friends we have made through Rob's business, and then will travel around a bit - probably stop in at Adelaide March/April time possibly before heading up North for the Dry and then back down to SA when the rains come I guess - no hard and fast plans really, just seeing where the roads take us
