Feeling insecured n stressed

    Recommended Posts

    Hi all

After all the crazy visa waiting n panicing days were over, I thought all is done n time to relax. Now when I am planning my trip in May (one way flight), I am lost. Just informed the employeer that I am leaving.

What if Adelaide is not the place that I dreamed of, what if I cannot find a job, what if ...goes on.

I guess all went through this phase. Any advice/ tips is greatly appreciated.

    What if.......

If you always asked what if you would never leave the house let alone the country. Life is about taking risks, failure and success comes with those risks, without taking those risks though life would be boring and almost not worth bothering with.

Hi, we moved here in May last year and we were exactly the same, What if .....................

Now its a case of '"why didn't we do it earlier in life"!

If you don't do it you'll never know....

    Good luck

We love it here and have no regrets what-so-ever!

Hi, I can totally relate to how you are feeling.I had my visa granted today and I'm over the moon. I need to be over by May and now that the stress is over with the visa, I'm panicking about everything else lol On a plus I only have 13 weeks to get everything organised so not too long to think about things but I have to admit it's a scarey process. I just keep hoping everything will be fine once I make the big move. Good luck with everything :-)

What if you love it and you wish you'd come ten years ago? What if you get the dream job that pays you twice as much as you thought it would? What if you win the lotto here and you never have to work again? Gasp! What if you lose the winning ticket though??? Lol! Life is one long what if I reckon. If it isn't what you thought it would be when you get here, well, you either go back or go somewhere else or get on with it. The only thing you can't change is death, everything else is probably fixable. Good luck with the rest of your plans, see you on the sunny side...

    Hi

When we got our visa granted my business in the Uk was doing well and we had good friends and family around us .But we gave it all up and moved to Adelaide .I also ask we we did not do it years before .Life is what you make it ,but give it a positive go and you will be okay .Good luck.

Well, I also worry a lot and from my experience the best solution is careful planning. For example - we're worried about the jobs, so we are (or at least I am) prepared to do ANY temp job. We also realised that we may have to move to Sydney or Melbourne if there are no job perspectives in SA.

All I can advise is planning, planning +... contingency planning.

When you find yourself on an unknown path you are on a journey. It doesn't matter if the path is set out in front of you or if you have to pave the way.The most important thing is that you walk upon it. Try not to worry but enjoy your journey.

Life is one big if. But when people get older they never regret what they have done just what they never got around to doing. Now you have the chance if you don't take it you will always be thinking what if and I think regret it forever.

Thank u guys, yiur words mean a lot to me.

Currebt employer offered me a short term contract in Sydney, but I am confused whether to take it or not as I am on SA SS.

My understanding was that if I have an Australian employment reference, the job hunting in Adelaide will be easier. Any thoughts?

I will delete the other thread with same question.
