Parking in the city?

Hello,

 

My husband and I have lived here about a week and we are still trying to sort out city parking. We found the park and ride at the entertainment centre during the week but where can you park on a Saturday or Sunday? We've also discovered that parking garages are insanely expensive so want to avoid that mistake again.

 

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

On Sundays the multi-story car parks are $3-4 all day (well Topham Mall was a few weeks back)

 

Saturdays you'd be best to park on Bartels Road or one of the roads in the parklands as they have a 10 hr meter.

Not sure how much though.

I have never paid to park in the city, there are roads all around that you can park in for free with a good 10-15 min walk for free

At weekends you'll find a lot of the metred street parking is something like 20cents. Or might have gone up to 40cents now - something really nominal anyway. Try down Kintore Ave off North Terrace or some of the little side streets off Flinders Street or Pirie Street

the cheapest multi story is the one above the central market, very easy to get to aswell.
