We arrived in Oz at the beginning of February 2012, now coming up to being here for 3 months, both got work, well temporary work and we are really loving the lifestyle, just miss friends to socialise with. We currently live in the Semaphore area, but could make it down to Henley Beach if anyone fancies meeting for a couple of drinks, or even a daytime catch up at the weekend. We are both 40 but young at heart and no kids, that's not to say we don't socialise with those that do have kids! We have just been unlucky

i have only just seen your post, a bit late i know! me and hubby neil have been here 6 months now, in the same boat as u guys except we have my daughter with us but shes 15 and more or less has her own life now! we have also found that everyone we meet has young kids and are in a different position to us, everyone is nice enough but we are so used to going out drinking back home with groups of friends of all ages and we def dont act our age lol, (we are 40 and 42). living in seaford rise at the moment but if you ever want to catch up for a drink let us know!

Thanks for your message, we've been out with a few couples as a response to my initial message and have had a great time, the next two weekends are going to be quiet ones, but if you are interested there is a 'Do' on to Celebrate the Queens Birthday, at Brighton Rugby Club, I think on 2nd June, we will be going to that and the other couples we've met are also going. You should come along, that is if you haven't already booked your tickets! If you look at the threads you'll see the invite to all, not many tickets left though so you may have to be quick.

 

If you can't make it, then we could arrange a meet up in a few weeks, if you still fancy a night out.

Hi Lou & Jace, just moved to Semaphore from New Zealand (we are Brits). We dont know anyone yet and just found this website. We are going to take a walk into town and have a coffee at Swiss Tarts at 10am to 11am Sunday 3rd June if you would like to join us.... would be great to catch up. Sorry Sharon & Gary, your message only came through at 12.30ish, we were at Mt Lofty, so wouldn't have been able to meet up for swiss tarts and coffee, sounds good all the same :-) we've got a busy fews weeks coming up, with Jason at TAFE most nights and working all day, so weekends are precious, but could meet up sometime in the next couple of months.

we had to miss the jubilee party in brighton cos of work, gutted we missed it:( hope everyone had a great night!
