this is equally the most important equal to transferring the lump sum of £

i have read alot on the other forum but i would like to know if anyone has experience - another minefield with alot of hidden costs

as always my little knowledge is a dangerous thing

weeks away from signing t he house away a nd the bladdy $ is starting to fall and its looking not good for the shortime is my misinformed guess

    Hi Mart

I can't really offer a great deal of advise. My pension will be 'preserved' which basically means 'frozen'.

I have 21 years service & I only have 2 choices, the above or transfer. To transfer you have to have a job & for my employer the new company as to be a registered something or other (fancy title) otherwise the transfer is NOT an option

Also apparantely some employers do NOT accept transferred pensions - I never knew this

    Good luck

    Angela

My hubby's military pension is paid into our UK bank, if we need access to it we just use an ATM.

You can transfer your private pension to here.

    I moved mine over.

It had to go into a superannuation fund.

Similar to a pension fund in the UK but at least they grow here!!

There are quite a few companies that will do this for you.Fees and charges vary. Not that happy with the company I used.

But have a look at .........

    http://www.toweraustralia.com.au/

The pension company in the UK took ages to relaes the money - did well on the currency exchange though.
