Flinders Medical Centre - Parking?

    Recommended Posts

I've got an appointment there on Friday and just wondering about the parking. It used to be a nightmare parking at the hospital at home, could take you an hour just to get parked. Is it the same here? Will I need to get there really early? Also could anyone give me an idea of the cost too?

    Thanks,

    Wendy

    Hi Wendy,

I was there a couple of weeks ago - big multi storey but right in front of main entrance but gets busy and takes a little while to navigate to find a space so give yourself 30mins or more before your appointment time. Can't remember exact cost but it was not extortionate unlike NHS parking!

    All the best.

I went to visit my sister there a couple of months ago and managed to get parked on the side of the road that goes past the main entrance, there are different time limits up the road but its free and better than getting lost in a multi-story which I probably would have!!

I drove around for 30 mins, gave up and parked in a side street (risking a ticket).

Next time I will get a cab.

    Bloody nightmare.

Another option park at marion shopping center, and catch bus only a short ride,it's the stop nearest the side of Myers, drops you right outside the hospital, return loads of buses just get on any going to Marion good luck

I work there it costs me over $500 a year and cant park!!!, dont know what time your apt is but between 12-13.30 are the worst as late staff are starting so 100s of staff are also trying to park. basically its pot luck if you can park, or as others have said try the road that gives you 2hrs free i think, or off site. Tuesdays are the worst as most of the outpatients clinics are on then..

I think its around $2.00 per hr.

    Good luck

Thanks for all the replies. Typical, my appointment is 1.30pm so it's not looking good lol. The 2 hours free parking is out too as it says on my appointment letter that I may be here more than 2 hours. Might be easier just to get hubby to drop me off and come back for me then.

We were there on Monday and I got there at 11:15 and it was no problem. Hope all goes well.

It can't be as bad as the Women's and Children's, I had to wait 1.5hrs to get a space before my sons operation, last week!!!
