Hi There,

My suspicion is that you'll need to start from scratch. The reason I say this, is that logically there can be no 'bridging' qualifications as the system, the histories and taxation etc are very different. Yes, investment is largely similar but gain, there are differences in the taxation structure of products and wraps.

I would recommend starting the Australian Diploma in Financial Planning from Kaplan here.

Essentially, to gain 'Diploma Status' you'll need to complete three online exams and submit two projects of roughly 15,000 - 20,000 words outlining a financial plan and completing a 'Statement of Advice' - similar to the UK Suitability Reports but in much more detail.

Finally, if you want to advise on investments, you'll need to complete the Investment Elective which involves another exam and another project.
