Christmas Dinner

Hi, my boyfriend and I are having our first Christmas in Adelaide this year and we are wondering if anyone knows if there is somewhere that is open on Xmas day or Boxing Day and sells traditional turkey Xmas dinner. Thanks!

No clue. But good luck tracking something down.

If you can't find anything are you able to cook one yourselves? A dinner for two would be really simple and not a big task. And you've plenty of time to collect the stuff needed. Even if its with chicken or beef. Or if all else fails perhaps do the Aussie thing and BBQ.

We really wish we could but the hotel we are staying in on xmas eve and day doesn't have kitchen facilities. Thanks though!

When we first came here (XXX years ago) we went to a restaurant in Gouger Street, Take a wander along there and see if any are open for that occaision.

As posted above, a lot of hotels/pubs do do xmas dinners so will depend what area you are stayng in, also the local papers often advertise nearer the time too.

If it was our turn for Xmas dinner we'd invite you here but alas it is not

Thanks for all the suggestions. We will most likely be staying at Rendevous Grand Hotel in city centre. Thanks again!

    Christmas is in July here!

See other threads on this - It is too hot for a traditional roast and all the trimming at Christmas Christmas!

Never too hot for a proper roast turkey dinner - put the aircon or a fan on! (might have in the evening rather than the middle of the day) Then you can have your BBQ or picnic seafood for starters and have time on the beach too!

And generally Christmas Day here in Adelaide isn't excessively warm anyway! The Stamford Grand at Glenelg apparently does a fantastic Christmas lunch - but it's not cheap!
