    Hi all

We need advice regarding visa's. We are hoping to move in the new year on a 457 visa, the wife has a job waiting for her. However we are considering starting the proccess of a 176/190 PR visa. Can anyone give advice about this subject and the benefits involved??

there are lots of benefits, if you have a pr visa you entitled to many things you wouldn't be if you were on a long stay, plus if you came out of work you wouldn't have to go home to Wales, also when you get here you almost certainly will want to stay anyway, so it will shorten the process!!> its Snowdonia scenery with Loads of sun sun sun. No rusty cars, lots of old ones though!

I may be corrected here but if you are on a 176 you get family assistance, I don't think you get it n a 457. We have 4 children and get a huge amount of money!

Thanks guys, we just don't know! With just one of us working for the first few months it would help being on PR. Did you guys do you own visa or get help?

We got an agent but only because ours was complicated and hubby was working in his trade.

If yours is straight forward do it yourself and save the money!

There's an agent called Ian Harrop, very good and not a rip off merchant, we used him, we had a complicated application. Just google the name it should pull him up.
