Hiring a Boat on the Murray River?

Hello all, first off introductions as I'm new on here. We have been here for 3 months living in North Haven, I'm a mechanic and auto electrician working at Adelaide Automotive Repair Centre, my wife Marissa is in Marketing and PR and we have 2 boys aged 10 and 12 who go to Ocean View College.

 

I am booked to do my boat licence in a coupe of weeks with view to buying a boat, but I've got the wife's birthday coming up and I really fancied a couple of days on the river with the family. I've seen the houseboats for rent but cant seem to find anything smaller (and faster for pulling ringos etc.)

If anyone has any recommendations I would be most grateful.
