Hi Ktee,

We chose it for a number of reasons... Hubby's work is in demand, it has the 4 seasons, it's the festival city, affordable housing, good education, a good place for young families, good fresh markets.

Thats all I remember at the moment

Hubby is from there :) And luckily I like it there also :cute:

Actually though, other than Melbourne, it's probably the only place we'd settle, at least for the first few years of moving over from the UK. I like Melbourne but hubby isn't keen. However, we both love it out in the Adelaide hills and our long term plan is to settle out there somewhere, but initially in Adelaide somewhere, hopefully not further south than Seaview so we can be closer to family, friends and the city etc.

Hi,

We choose it because it wasn't a huge city for the kids to handle, gave them some freedom & independence. If they ever left home and moved to another State we would always be central to them. Thy could always access or come home quickly. The opportunities SA offered our teenagers was impressive. It's the most pet friendly State in Australia. The weather is more tolerable for fair skinned kids. The cost of living was lower than other States and we had to start from scratch again. Beaches were clean, views breathtaking and the kids loved the idea of been able to eat with their hands if they wanted :)

The city for me has held onto a lot of its heritage which I loved. I had also been told that people were friendlier. My only regret is that we didn't move when the kids were smaller as this is such a family State I'd have loved the opportunity to bring them up here.

What can I say I love Adelaide and whenever anyone asked me Why Adelaide a bit shocked with our decision I gave them the same answer.
