Shared short term rentals needed in Adelaide from 20.02.2013

Hi Everyone,

I have been reading this forum for about 2 years now, and finally, i am coming to Adelaide, after a Skilled visa has been granted back in June 2012! :jiggy:

We are two females (mother and daughter) arriving to Adelaide on 20th of February 2013. We are looking for a short term rentals at least for 10-14 days, preferably in Adelaide CBD or any other place that is near shops and bus/train station, as we won't be having a car for the first month or so. However, the ideal will be finding a room in a house to share, until we find long term rentals for ourselves. It would be good if we could share with a family or female owner.

Please let me know if you are interested in offering us any options or require any additional info about ourselves!

Thank you in advance!

Hi Nata

I see I'm not the only one looking for a house share (I arrive in Adelaide on the 21st Jan). I've been going through the forum and I've also had no luck finding anything. Have you come across anything since you posted this?

Hi Nata,

I MAY be able to help you out, at the moment I have my son staying but when he goes - he could be moving in the next couple of weeks, then I will have a large room spare. I am near shops (walking) and bus (walking).45 mins into the CBD. I moved to ADL from Cornwall 20 years ago, live walking distance from the beach and know about the area. (live southern ADL but of course have a good idea about allsorts). I have a German Shepherd dog and a cat so any sharers would need to be happy with that. - any allergies? Don't like fur? Hmm. It is not a large house and I am generally quiet but have my moments lol. So anyone who likes to go with the floe is welcome. If you are interested I'll keep you in the loop as to the availability. Another place you might find temp accommodation is through Gumtree, a website that has all kinds of things available, rent, for sale etc and so on, all the best Sue

Addendum, try backpackers for a couple of weeks, right in town, cheap and meet a lot of folks who have a varied knowledge of the area.

Dear Nata,

I have been trying to respond to your private email to me but with no success. I'm sorry but at this stage it doesn't look like that room will be available but I will keep you in mind if things change. When you are over here if you would like to re contact me anyway and catch up I'd be glad to do so., Sue
