Just wanted to say thanks so much to all those who work in healthcare, in particular hospitals etc, and do such a great job of looking after the rest of us!!!!!!

We've had on occasion to do a few hospitalisations for family members this year - planned, and not so planned... and have been looked after amazingly. DH had to take one of our children to Modbury hosp last night and he was admitted overnight in the end. Looked after brilliantly, staff really friendly and caring, and complimentary to our 5YO and how he was while he was there.

This time of year there's so much illness going round, as well as it being hard work while everyone else is having "fun" doing Christmassy and holiday-y things so I just want you to know that our family don't take it for granted, and appreciate all you do.

GOing to buy some alternative gifts this Christmas for various organisations, supporting healthcare in developing countries - its the least we can do to say thank you.xxx

aint over yet! What is this bug going round anyway? And how do you guys work with people with all this stuff going on and not get it yourselves?

Idea for a business, though hey? In a few years when my Little H's aren't so little, I could quite imagine offering help to those like us right now who are isolated with almost more than they can handle!!!!

There are a lot of persistant bugs around this year. I have just been reading on my Facebook of two local friends whose children have high temps and fainting spells today ..... not good :( Myself, hubby, daughter and granddaughter have all had some sorgt of chest infection on and off for three months now, and I STILL have a croaky voice from it. God knows how doctors, nurses and reception staff at the local surgeries avoid getting seriously sick with all these lurgies about ............... they must be made from something very special :)
