Can I ask why SA wasnt quite what you immagined Lazy cow?

 

Pretty much the same reason that a couple of other posters have mentioned. I wasn't prepared for the appearance of some of the roads, the amount of grafitti and I thought it would all be more rural with suburbs more clearly defined - rather than the way they roll from one to another. (although I think this is down to areas swelling due to building so they are no longer apart?)

 

That said, it was merely unfamiliar and now it's home I love it all.

My parents did'nt do a reccie.They emigrated to Australia in 1970,and the only info they had before they moved was a two page brochure from Oz House!.

 

Now THAT'S a leap of faith! And a fantastic spirit of adventure!
