My Avatar - an explanation.....

I've been asked several times now about why I chose this picture for my avatar.

 

I can say there is nothing serious in it at all.

 

Bit of an "in joke" really.

 

The picture is a still from the film "Chopper", played here by Mark Bana.

He captured him well.

 

To those of you who do not know "Chopper" Reid is a legendary criminal here, quite a character and to some a likable rogue.

Just a joke between a few of us on my part.

 

When I was a moderator it had different meanings......

 

As I have been asked a few times I now wonder if people find it offensive or offputting???

 

If anyone does ,please say - here or by PM and I will change it.

I used to wonder why you used this Avatar but I kind of think it is cute.....although I am not sure that this Chopper guy was a good guy in reality. But don't know enough about him. I definitely like Mark Bana...and not offended but I do like the other ones too.....variety and all that...

I was sat in a lovely cafe in my little home town north of Adelaide a summer or two ago when my companions noticed chopper reid ( The real one) sat on the next table, they were quire excited but unfortunately had no idea who he was - i'm not sue he would go in the "likeable " basket however i believe he has done some good in and out of HMS - therfore I think your

pic should stay
