We are arriving in Adelaide in April intending to stay in a Motel for 2 weeks until we find long term unfurnished accomodation.

What are people doing for furniture etc until their containers arrive??

Also do uk plugs work in Oz or do we have to change every electrical item ??

    Thanks

I'm interested in this too, we're hoping to arrive end of April/beginning of May but we've got so much to organise first

My brain can only handle so much so I've been putting the furniture/accomodation bit slightly to one side. We have the 457 fully filled in, just can't submit until ahpra registration is complete, thinking that we'll deal with accommodation once the visa has been issued

Usually get a few cheap basics or borrow/buy second hand etc. Sometimes people on here lend stuff.

Get yourself on gumtree.com.au there is so much in the freebie section. Generally there's nothing wrong with any of it and pele just want the space back. We used it a lot and found some great stuff.

We got loads of stuff off of here and gumtree. Like above, send me a pm when you get here and if we have anything you need to borrow, let us know.

    We are in Aldinga though.

We rented a full furniture package for 3 months. This included pots, pans, plates cups, cutlery, bedding, towels, kettle, microwave, tv, etc, etc. It cost about $1000 per month.

We used a company called Argus Furniture Rentals.
