‘Built in Wardrobes Everywhere……....'

    Recommended Posts

Hello – very quick question, do pretty much all unfurnished rentals and established/new homes have built in wardrobes?

We’re debating whether to bring our two large and much loved wardrobes with us when we make the move in April, or whether to try and sell them?

Will they just end up being stored in a garage, waiting for spider lodgers…………?

    THANKS!

Not all houses have built in robes in all rooms. A lot (most?) seem to have them in the main bedroom but quite a lot don't have them in the other bedrooms. If you have room I'd bring them. If you don't and you end up in a house without built ins you will be kicking yourself. You could always sell them here if you find you don't need them. Check out the houses to rent in the areas you are thinking of on realestate.com.au to see how many have built in robes as this might sway you one way or the other.

Good comments from NicF. A lot of the older houses seem to be short of wardrobes especially the second and third bedrooms. Most of the new builds are quite good at using space and you may find that the homes have them. If you do bring wardrobes with you they won't take up much space in the container as the wardrobe will be packed with goods anyway. Furniture is expensive here so it may pay to bring them....bring mattresses too because they are real expensive! Tamara
