    Hi guys, I as a nurse will be the main visa applicant but my oh was not born in the uk although now a British citizen would he need to do a general ielts?

    Yes he does, my husband is the same :) The pass mark is quite low tho.

    I was told by an agency that as he is now a British citizen it's unlikely he'll be asked to prove functional English and in fact the agent said in all his years he'd never had a British citizen asked however its not a chance I'd like to take for the sake of a couple hundred pound as opposed to the few thousand it costs if asked to prove and he can't.
