Electric blankets

    Recommended Posts

Has anyone else started using electric blankets since being in oz? I don't really know why I never had one in the uk. Great here though with no heating in the house (other than the living room). The cats love it too lol.

Yes, I had hot water bottles before the electric blanket. It's funny how you are happy with one thing, then you get an 'improvement' and have no idea how you survived before. I'm like that with my iPhone too lol.

Lol (and how beautifully loving and thoughtful of him. Major kudos! )

I use my electric blanket a lot, throughout the year and we have the heated throws although I have a big, thick, snuggly blanket for the couch :)

    Snuggly warm blankies lol!

Don't use them here so can't see us using them over in Aus! :)

Remember though the houses aren't built as good here, you don't have insulation so come winter its freezing

Could not survive without my electric blanket here, but rarely used them in UK. Even if the house is heated, it is lovely to get into a warm bed.

Yes, the houses just feel colder here. I never used one in the uk either. And one house I had there had no upstairs heating!

Wouldn't be without it. Use a hot water bottle if we've been out and there's no time for it to heat up. My new hobby of 'quilting' has come in useful too - I now have several nice warm throws to snuggle under when watching TV.
