The Santos Tour Down Under peloton and cycling fans will once again descend upon the City of Onkaparinga for Pure Blonde Stage 5 of the 2014 Santos Tour Down Under.

Record attendance numbers are again expected with thousands of people set to line the course to cheer on their cycling heroes and Stage 5 is more than just a cycling race, it’s a party – and you’re invited!

Enjoy the live coverage or travel the race route and let Stage 5 take you on a tour of our city’s stunning and diverse landscape.

The race will start at McLaren Vale, our famous wine region with world class vineyards, cellar doors and restaurants. The riders will then head south, only a short trip to our stunning coastline at Aldinga Beach which boasts clear gulf waters and one of our pristine beaches. As anticipation builds for the hill top finish, follow the peloton as it travels around the historic township of Willunga. Set with the natural beauty of old gum trees and rolling hills the challenge of Willunga Hill will then present as we witness what is expected to be another exciting battle for Stage 5 victory.

Coming up on Sunday 26 November, the Pageant (from 10am-11am) will again bring Christies Beach to life with marching bands, festive floats, clowns, elves and jolly Santa himself.
After the Pageant, festivities continue at Christmas in the Park in Rotary Park from 11am-1pm, with a petting zoo, face painting, local artists providing the main stage musical entertainment, Santa in his cave and Christmas stalls.  Local food vendors on Beach Road will join the festivities with lots of special offers on the day.
