Hi. We are the Maddisons from Bradford, West Yorkshire. Jason 37, Paula 35, Bethan 9 and Chloe Mae 6. We are emigrating to Hallett Cove at the end of June. Visas were granted April 2007 and were activated in August 2007. Skilled independant visa 136 as Jason is an electrician. We are just waiting for the house sale to complete. Can't wait to get over there!!! Girls are enrolled in school for the start of term on July 21st. Would advise anyone who wants to emigrate to do a reccy first!!! :jiggy:

Hi Jason, Paula & family

Congratulations on getting your visa and welcome to PIA.

We also live in hallett cove, so far so good!

Good luck with your flight and let us know when you get here, as there are loads of PIA members in hallett cove and surrounding areas that will help you settle well as they have done for our family.

Thank You for the good luck message. We are awaiting house exchange in the Uk,which will hopefully be this week!!!!

We will be renting fully furnished in Marino for 3 months first, then hopefully looking for house rentals in Hallett Cove.

Jason has already registered for the AS3000 Wiring Rules Course at O'Halloran Hill Campus for his "A" Class License. Will be in touch when we arrive.:D

After a few days to chill out,try to cram as much info into your stay as possible.

But still enjoy yourselves!!!

Try to visit school around your area, you can even register at a WestPac bank. This makes opening accounts easier later on.

Visit open house sales for new and old house, just to get a feel of the houses and areas.

I dont know how far your visa process is,but the more info you can gather on your Reccy the better for you all.

We are jealous you are going in May,we have to wait until late June!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have a great time, hope its what you dreamt of!!

Hi there, wondered if I could pick your brains? Noticed your OH is a Joiner. Did he have to go through the new Vetasses Skills Assessment for Joinery and if so what did it involve. My OH is a Joiner too and although we are not starting our application yet any info would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
