Another Childfree Expats meet-up?

Is anyone interested in another meet up, perhaps in May? If so, suggestions on location and time, such as weekend again or weeknight...and would you prefer another pub meet up or something different?

Yay!! We'll do our level best to be there. The only weekend we can't make is 17th, as we have mates visiting from Mildura, but aside from that, it would be great to meet you all and put faces to typing!

Great:) What would people like to do? I guess outdoor events are done for the year, but we could do a lunch out if people would rather do something other than just drinkies. I'm slightly limited in where I can get to, as I don't have car at the moment. Are most people ok with meeting up centrally in the city?

As we will be living at Cannon Street Backpackers when we first arrive, the city centre suits us down to the ground! Meeting for a meal and drinks sounds great, just no where too posh, as until the container arrives, we are working with VERY limited wardrobes!

Oi Dan, less of the 'old',if you are refering to us, we like to think of ourselves as mature! Would be great to see you again and this would kill two birds with one stone - seeing you two and meeting new people. Perhaps Gra & Jac might make it as well. Will pm them on the off chance that they get it before they leave for Oz on 21st. Will keep an eye on this thread.

Hi, only just discovered this site yesterday. Me and the OH would be up for meeting a few folks for drinks etc.. we have been in Adelaide since November on a temp visa. The weekend 24/25th May would suit us as well.

I reckon Glenelg might be a good option. Maybe the Stamford Grand pub at the front?? Most people know that place. As it's getting colder now, I wouldn't recommend meeting outside.

 

Any other suggestions?

Glenelg was certainly lovely on Sunday afternoon in the sunshine, almost forgot my jetlag!!

 

The City is also fine for us, just let us know a date and location and we'll be there.

We all are, based on what majority wants:) That pub would be fine with me.

 

P.S. I've been asked not to hold our event on the 24th, as it conflicts with the Ladies Day Out. I actually won't be going to that, as we did a Barossa tour with our house guest this past weekend and have another planned for when my mom comes to visit, but if it is a conflict for anyone, let me know. And please let us know what dates do and don't work for those of you who plan to come to our little meet up.

Suzer asked if I could move it to a different day but I can't get the coaches booked for another convenient time. The Barossa trip leaves 9am and gets back 6pm to the southern suburbs - I asked Suzer if she knew what time your meet up would be - maybe if an evening you could do both and be total party people!!!!! I confess I did ask Suzer that if the date wasn't confirmed maybe it could be moved. I would like to see some more people from the northern suburbs joining in these trips as we southern party people are taking over.

 

Let Suzer know anyway and happy socialising!

S'ok. As nothing is set in stone it should be easy enough to do ours on the 25th or another weekend. I'll set up a poll with a few dates and locations, then perhaps we can solidy something.
