Hi all, Just wondering if anyone can give us an idea of how much a taxi costs from the airport into the city or if there are regular buses. We are trying to book a hire car and its a fair bit more expensive for an airport pick-up. If its easy and cheaper by bus or taxi we can pick up the hire car in the city. Penny pinching!!!!! And if anyone can recommend a cheap car hire place that would be fab! Thanks guys Yvonne and Mark x:)

Hey,

This is the website for public transport in Adelaide.... http://www.adelaidemetro.com.au/

If you look under 'special services' in the left menu there are the jet bus services. Also under 'transport alternatives' there are online booking service for taxi's, maybe you can email of for an average price.

Hope this helps a bit!

Hi,

At a guess a taxi into the city could be about $20 it is not that far, I have been told that car hire from the airport attracts a 9% airport levy?????????, one thing about hiring check what insurance level you are taking out there can be some big costs involved for not getting full cover insurance.

Some credit cards also offer car hire insurance as part of their package,
