Arrived yesterday with my wife, settling in nicely! Getting my stuff together to work in schools is going to take as much as 8 weeks. So...I am looking for any kind of work just to get started and contribute to bringing the dollars in. If anyone knows of any formal/informal short-term work, or indeed any pointers to help me out, please let me know. Thanks!

Hi Mike

welcome to Adelaide and hope you like it so far. I am a fellow mancunian and my wife and I have been here 7 months and she is a primary school teacher having gone through what you are doing now if you fancy a coffee or beer give me a pm and we can meet up and let you know what we have found out so far.
