Gift It Back Home warning

Hi guys,

I recently moved to Australia in March and I was wondering if I could pick your brains for some advice. I want to send a present back to my Dad in the UK for Father’s Day but am unsure as the best way to do this. How does everyone else send presents back to the UK? I have looked at postage and it is really expensive. Father’s Day is also on the 15th June and so I am running out of time if I do decide to go that route.

Any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Adz

Hi mate, I use a site called Gift It Back Home. Definitely don't post from here anymore. Basically you can order from a massive selection of Gift Cards. They have a really good choice as well. The site also let's me pay with my Aussie card, but without the bank charges. As Keith rightly said usually if you use your Aussie card the bank will charge you. The postage is pretty cheap and quick as well. They send from the UK so no shipping etc. If you want to have a look here’s the website www.giftitbackhome.com.au

Members should note that the above poster 'TheLondonOwl' works for Jordan Media who own giftitbackhome.

We would remind business's that under Consumer Protection from Unfair Trading Regulations Act. 2008. "A commercial practice is unfair if... (it is) falsely representing oneself as a consumer" policeman.gif

I've attached screen-shots of the posters email address & IP address along with the email & IP address from an email they sent me on the 14th April asking about advertising costs (Guess they must have forgotten about that).

Personally, I find it very disappointing when companies stoop to this level and start masquerading as satisfied customers.
