I thought I'd ask it anyway..... Will my Tom Tom Sat Nav work in Australia? Or will I need to pay for new maps?

We had this issue and downloaded the Australia map, it was not the easiest process but as a technophobe I managed it but the cheeky swines charged 50 quid! I have just looked on Harvey Norman and big W websites and you can get the basic model for $80 dollars here, there's not much in it unless you have one of the more expensive models already and want to keep it. We had to buy another anyway due to my wife having to travel around with work and Bruce is pretty cool, he speaks in a broad aussie accent and when you get to you destination he tells you to"wind up yer windows, grab those sunnies and don't let the seagulls steal yer chips!"

If you have a smart phone you can just use that just get one of the many apps.

Yes Ian that is correct but they do use data,as the maps are not stored on your phone. Each trip is a download.
