    Hi

Just been to the travel agents for some travellers cheques and was quotes $1.96 :mad:to the pound I told the young lass behind the counter that the shop over the road was selling then at $2.11 she then rechecked the computer and told me she would be able to do them for $2.10 so i cashed £1400 worth if I would have taken her first rate I would have got $2744 but because it told her about the other shop I got $2940 making me $196 better off :jiggy:so it pays to barter and the odd white lie because the shop over the road was selling for $1.98 :embarrassed:i also tell her i was willing to come to oz with english money

The moral of this story is never accept there first price

If you are coming through Singapore airport you can change money there without incurring a fee for them doing it.

Thats a really good tip rachel- will keep that in mind. Yvonne x
